Digital Marketing for Law Firms and Lawyers

Visibility at the moment a client searches, in professional language that explains without promising.

Someone looking for a lawyer is usually under pressure: an employment dispute, a property transaction, a traffic offence or a sensitive family matter. That means very high search intent and a relatively fast decision, but it also means trust is settled within minutes of reading a website. In the local market most firms rely on referrals, while Arabic and Hebrew searches for specific practice areas happen daily without finding clear answers. At OBT we build a presence that explains the field in plain language and establishes specialisation, within the limits professional rules allow.

What makes this field hard

Professional advertising limits

Bar association rules define what may and may not be said, particularly around comparison with other firms and promises of outcomes. Content needs wording that achieves marketing without crossing those lines.

Urgent, local search

A client searches for a lawyer in their own city and in that exact moment, and a firm absent from those results loses the opportunity entirely. Local visibility matters far more here than broad reach.

Sensitive subject matter

Family, criminal and debt matters cannot be marketed in a direct promotional tone, and the wrong register pushes clients away rather than attracting them. What is needed is restrained language that respects the reader's situation.

How we work here

We start by defining the areas the firm wants to be known for and build a separate page for each, because clients search by their problem and not by the firm's name. The content is written as a plain explanation of the steps in a process, the rights involved and the recurring questions, in clear Arabic and Hebrew that build authority without claiming outcomes. The marketing team works on Google for high-intent search and on the Google Business Profile and local results, while Meta is used mainly to build familiarity rather than to collect direct enquiries on sensitive matters. The design keeps a restrained professional look, because the appearance of the site is itself part of the trust decision.

Common questions

Common questions

What is a lawyer permitted to publish in marketing?

Generally you may present the firm, its practice areas and its experience, and publish educational content explaining the law, while promising outcomes and explicitly comparing yourself to other firms are restricted. We build everything on the principle of explaining rather than claiming, which is in fact more persuasive to a serious client. For anything unusual we recommend checking the current bar rules before publishing, and we adjust the wording accordingly.

Which practice areas suit paid campaigns best?

Areas with clear, urgent search such as employment law, road accidents, offences and real estate produce results faster because the searcher wants a lawyer now. Highly sensitive areas such as family law work better through content and organic search that the client reaches on their own terms. We split the budget along that difference instead of treating every practice area the same way.

Is organic search or Google Ads the better investment?

Google Ads gives immediate visibility and is useful when you need enquiries quickly, but it stops the moment the budget stops. Organic visibility is slower but builds an asset the firm keeps and reduces dependence on ongoing spend. For most firms we start with both: ads for the urgent practice areas and cumulative content for long-term visibility.

How long before we see enquiries?

Paid campaigns can produce enquiries within the first days, but quality improves after a tuning period that usually runs a few weeks. Organic visibility and content need several months before their effect is clearly visible, which is normal in a field this competitive. We prefer to agree in advance on what is measured at each stage, so results are not judged against the wrong benchmark.
