Digital marketing for Umm al-Fahm and Wadi Ara businesses

When someone needs an urgent service, showing up in the first minute is everything.

Umm al-Fahm is one of the largest Arab cities in the country and a natural hub for the whole Wadi Ara area. Its economy rests on services, skilled trades, contracting and local commerce far more than on large consumer brands. A big share of demand here is immediate: a breakdown, an installation, maintenance, a heatwave or a cold spell. The customer picks up the phone, searches in Arabic, and calls the first provider who looks close and available — and the decision is made in that short window.

The local market

The commercial character is service and trade led: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical and plumbing, aluminium and contracting, automotive, and shops serving the city plus the surrounding Wadi Ara villages. The language is entirely Arabic, and proximity to Route 65 means some businesses also serve passing traffic and customers from nearby towns. Demand is clearly seasonal — summer drives cooling work, winter drives maintenance and sealing — so timing the budget matters more than its size. Online, most providers still rely on reputation and referral, and few have built a presence that captures urgent searches. That is the real gap: whoever appears first with complete information and a number that answers takes the job.

Our presence here

In Umm al-Fahm we work with an air conditioning and refrigeration services business, a field that taught us how to build campaigns that move with the season and convert urgent searches into phone calls. We do not have an office in the city; the work is run from our Tel Aviv office and we travel in for shoots and meetings as needed.

Common questions

Common questions

My business is seasonal. Do I have to pay for advertising all year?

No, and we would not recommend it. We raise budget before and during the season and reduce it in quiet periods, while keeping a baseline presence so you do not disappear from search results. The goal is to put most of the spend into the weeks when demand is real.

Most of my customers call by phone. Can that be measured?

Yes. We optimise campaigns for calls and messages rather than likes, and use direct call and WhatsApp buttons from the ad and from the Google Business Profile. That way we know which ad produced an actual call, not just impressions.

Can we target the surrounding Wadi Ara villages and not only the city?

Yes, and for service businesses that matters a great deal. We define a geographic service area around Umm al-Fahm that includes the nearby towns, and make clear in the content where you actually travel — which cuts down irrelevant enquiries and saves your time.
